• I don't know if I'd call it "matte" -- but it's definitely not glossy. I have a large sun-facing window in my living room and I haven't noticed anything to complain about in terms of glare.

• The screen does appear to have a fair bit of gloss to it. I have it set up in my basement, so it isn't a huge issue, but I could see it potentially being an issue in a sunnier room.
