It's a TV, not Entertainment Hub!

Some nasty reviews that shows people didn't do their homework on here. Let's try debunking them for you...
Precursor:
While searching for replacement for my 42" Philips I got for wedding present 7 years ago (Will NEVER buy another Philips TV. Picture is still good, but "clicking"/"humming"/audio issues were reason for upgrade), I knew I "needed" 3-4 HDMI ports. I wrote off Philips and wanted Samsung (unlikely as they cost so much, but for a reason), Sony (again, high price, but good quality), and Vizio (likely my brand to go with as still "newer" to the game, but heard nothing but good things thus far). HAD to be 1080p and 50"+, no questions about that. Found this sucker and was hooked (with wife's approval)!
Inputs/Outputs:
States the inputs/outputs on box and listing! Well, after seeing this sucker, my mind found way around that HDMI "requirement" and GLAD I DID! My "Surround System In A Box" I got years ago also does not have HDMI ports of any kind, but with a "Mini 3-Port High Speed HDMI Switcher" from Meritline (SKU: 267-062-001), that is no longer an issue. It automatically switches inputs for you while on same TV input, no need to click anything. This is a $7 (on sale when purchased) fix until I upgrade receiver. As far as outputs, I have all sound routed directly to my surround. While it would have been nice to have optical out, minor hit for sheer size of this thing.
Personal Importance Level: 1 of 5
Picture:
Unsure what everyone is talking about with blurring. I am an avid spots nut, movie hound, and die-hard gamer. I have watched Football, no problem. Blu Rays/DVDs/Netflix (via Xbox), no problem. Gamed for HOURS AT END, no problem. Picture BLOWS AWAY my Philips 1080p 42". While stand-still picture is just as sharp, I have noticed motion looks MUCH better. People walking looks VERY smooth and crisp. I have tweaked a few settings and then tweaked them all again. I cannot find an "unwatchable" configuration as others claim. I am currently using TweakTV.com's optimal settings for Samsung UN60D6000 as another reviewer suggested and no issues at all.
Personal Importance Level: 5 of 5
Sound Quality:
TV is on 0 volume since turning it on. IMO TVs are for showing the picture, Surround Sound (even cheap ones) are for ... well SOUND! I cannot grade this on any level, sorry.
Personal Importance Level: 0 of 5
Features:
Much as to Sound Quality, this TV is simply a TV, not an "Entertainment Hub". It displays whatever you feed it. My XBox, Blu Ray, and other hardware is more than enough for me. I would rather my TV excel at displaying than be mediocre display and have SMART abilities, which I would likely not use anyways. If you need these features, give up 5-15" and get a SMART TV.
Personal Importance Level: 1 of 5
Mount/Base:
I cannot speak for stock base as it is still sealed up. I purchased the "Sanus - Wall Mount for Most 37" - 84" Flat-Panel TVs - Extends 10-3/8" - Black" (SKU: 5689019 ) and it would not fit our needs as we have it in a corner, and the 10 3/8" extension would not work, plus it had very limited mobility for what I was expecting. Returned it and bought "Sanus - Full-Motion Wall Mount for Most 51" - 70" Flat-Panel TVs - Black" (SKU: 9384041) and it is WAY NICER! MUCH more customizable, more stream-line, and even sleeker looking, if you care about that at all.
Summation:
If you want a TV for displaying purposes only, this is a VERY, VERY strong choice! MASSIVE size & GREAT clarity all fitting nicely in a 65" with small bezel at a very good price for an EXCEPTIONAL brand!
If you want a TV to do everything (SMART/3D/etc), you need to look at a smaller TV, higher price range, and/or lesser quality/brand.

I bought this last night for $999 at BB. I must say I was extremely excited for the deal. I upgraded from a SAMSUNG 52" LCD which has outstanding picture. SOo let me start by saying that up until an hour ago this TV was going back. It was awful out of the box. The picture was terrible. I spent six hours on the internet looking different recommended settings and my young children begged to put the old one back up. So finally I have decided to post what I found as settings for a 6400 (TWEAKMYTV.com) that actually made this TV come alive. I am keeping it now. I gave this TV a 4 stars due to the time I had to waste looking up ideal settings and no optical port other than that I'm recommending this to a friend to purchase tonight before the sale ends. Hope this helps others cause for the price it can't be beat...

First of all, there have been people bashing this TV because the lack of inputs. Do your research before purchasing a product, if you aren't happy with it because you didn't know how many inputs it has or doesn't have before you bought it then that's your fault, not the company's.
I bought this TV as a Black Friday special and got a great price, cheapest 65" television that I've ever seen and it was the Samsung brand which is one of the best in the business. I have been using this television for a couple of weeks now and cannot be happier with what it does. I have watched life NFL games, blu ray movies, and played PS3 games on it with seamless results.
Now here's the deal, this is a basic LED television. It's not wi-fi, smart, 3D, blah blah blah. It doesn't have a multitude of inputs or work on voice commands, nor will it make you a sandwhich or take out the trash. I wanted a TV for just that, to display a HD picture from my sources. I only need 1 HDMI input since all I have hooked up to this is a Direct TV receiver and a PS3 that both go through an automatic HDMI switch. With that said, it works flawlessly. There was no reason to buy a Smart tv when I can access Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Pandora, etc. from my components.
I have read reviews where people are complaining about the out of the box picture quality and how bad it is. Here's the thing, if you buy a tv just to take it out of the box and turn it on then expect the best quality picture without trying to calibrate it at all then that's no different then buying a new car and not changing the radio/sound settings to your liking. I went on the AVS forum and did a search for this model number TV to see what others are using for their picture settings and have to day that after 2 min of changing them it was AMAZING! I ended up purchasing the Disney World of Wonder blu-ray disc to cailbrate the television picture even further and the images are incredible. My family was over for Christmas and the look on my dads face when I did a demo with the new Man of Steel movie was priceless. He couldn't believe how crystal clear the picture was and how dark the blacks were for an LED TV.
This television replaces a 51" Samsung LCD that was about 5 years old and I paid $200 for Best Buy to calibrate it using ISF standards and the picture seems to me to be better on the new 65".
Now to the drawbacks. About the only thing that I'm not completely satisfied with is the sound. Granted, as thin as tv's are these days it means the speakers have to be that thin as well resulting in a flat, lacking low end and mid range sound. Now the volume can get extremely loud but the sound quality isn't the best (never is in these newer tv's). With that said, the best option is to purchase either a full surround system with seperate speakers and receiver or go the soundbar route. Samsung makes some really nice options for the soundbar which uses an HDMI input. Most other brands use an Optical input (fiber optic cable or TOSLINK) which this TV does not have. So, one can either stay with Samsung and use the HDMI cable or purchase an HDMI to TOSLINK converter in order to use the Optical input of other brands of soundbars. Now, I knew this when I purchased the television because I actually read the specifications and it still fit my needs, you should do the same and make the best decision based on your personal needs.
I got it for $999 on black friday from the listed price of $1499. I probably wouldn't pay the full $1499 price for it just because for that money there are other tv's just a tad smaller with more features but for me this was a no brainer at that price.

I purchased this TV on Black Friday Weekend becasue of the great price. At first I was weary of buying it because the few reviews it had at that time, people were saying it was not that great. And they did not have the TV set up to see how it looked in the store. But I do not regret it and I have no idea what the bad reviewers were talking about. I love this TV and will always purchase Samsung TV's for the rest of my life. This TV replaced my Samsung plasma that I bought approximately 8 years ago. This plasma TV survived a cross country move and is still working great in another part of my house. If you are looking for a great picture and do not need the bells a whistles of a smart TV then this TV is for you. I don't need all of that smart TV stuff because my game system or my satellite company does all that stuff so why pay another $500 or more for it? There is no blirr from fast moving pictures so it is great for watching sports or action movies. There also isn't a glare from the sun on this TV (which I struggled with my plasma with this). I can't tell you how the sound is because I use a sound bar, which I bought at the same time (also a Samsung and I love that too). I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone.

I bought this TV in black Friday. the size is great for the price and for the brand. However, there are some features that are not all great, such this TV does not have an sound output, and also it just provide two hdmi ports. The quality of the image is allright (If you follow one of the configurations posted online). I use this TV in the living room. and looks great. I have bought a roku and a chromecast to have internet features . I have been trying to set up my sound system (becasuse the one that the TV has is not great) however the lack of digital out does not let me. I have ordered a hdmi audio extractor ($40.00) and ill be partially fixing the issue of lacking of audio out. However, i will have to switch the extractor everytime or buy a hdmi switch to get audio to my soun system.

If you are using this primarily as a HD Display, this is a great unit for the price!! I know that people say that there is no break in period but the picture quality seemed to get better over the first 100 hrs or so.
The display is used primarily as a display for a HD satellite signal. The OTA HD tuner was programmed as a backup and locked on to signals very quickly.
Because of privacy concerns, I look for devices that are NOT smart. This tv fit the bill. There are no interactive features at all. WIN!!!
The only downside to this unit is that there are only 2 HDMI inputs. There are no audio outputs.
I can't rate the speakers as I have not used them.
I would buy this unit again without any reservation.

I got this on a Black Friday deal for $999 and at that price for this size television with this quality of picture it can't be beat. I would've loved a "smart" TV with WiFi and more HDMI inputs would be great but it meets our needs as basically a large monitor with built-in speakers. The remote is nice but is device specific (i.e. not a universal remote).
Picture
The picture is great connected to our Sony Blu-ray player or our DirecTV Genie. At 65" things aren't totally smooth when you are really close to the screen but you can't actually see the whole screen unless you stand back several feet. Our main seating is about 18' from the screen and it still seems large. Viewing angles are also great if that is a major concern.
Sound
We plan to put in a full-blown surround sound system later but the built-in speakers are surprisingly clear and loud. It won't be mistaken for a quality home theater system but it sounds as good as any soundbar I've heard.
Overall
Plus
+ Great Picture
+ Good Sound
+ Big Screen
+ Low Price
Minus
- Limited connectivity (2 HDMI, 1 Coax, 1 Component/Composite
- No WiFi or "smart" capabilities
- Non-universal remote

Like all televisions in the new age of technology, something new comes out as soon as you buy it. The 4K TVs are the new thing and prices have dropped since I purchased this. 4K was new and not around. But, it's still a great TV in the affordable prices range.
Cons: Samsung apps on the Smart Hub are limited, repetitive apps that provide the same movies/shows and the speakers are just ok. The internal speakers do vibrate/rattle...less than impressed.
I think that a Roku or Apple TV provide much better options, but you have to switch over and wait. In the world of instant NOW NOW NOW, waiting 1 minute is an inconvenience.
I have a high end home theater systems. So, I could careless how the internal speakers perform. Why get a large TV if you don't intend on adding home theater to it? The cons are irrelevant to me.

This is a nice tv with very good picture quality and the built in speaker is pretty loud enough if you dont want to use your receiver. I give it 4 stars only because it is quiet thicker than other LED tv like LG or VIZIO and there is 2 HDMI input only and no optical out. It would have been nice if there was optical out so i don't need to upgrade my Marantz receiver which does not have hdmi port. But if your receiver has hdmi then this will not be an issue.

This was a black Friday buy for only $1000.00, not bad for a 65 inch LED TV. The only thing it is lacking is more HDMI imputs, it only comes with one. This TV is not a smart TV, which does not matter to me since it is cheaper to buy a BluRay DVD player with the apps you want to use. The installation from the best buy team was good, the only problem was that they called my work number the day of deliver instead of calling my home number.

The Samsung 65 inch LED is awesome. Our research told us we wouldn't be disappointed with a really large screen and we aren't. This TV serves our main family room and is used the most of the several sets in the house. Watch Hawaii Five-0's scenic pans on this and you'll think you're there! Same with sports, dramas, everything!

Purchased this TV for a family member. I was very impressed with the clarity of the picture and the available volume level- it looks and sounds great. My only complaint is that it only has 2 HDMI connections, and 1 set of inputs for older devices. If you have an older surround sound system or DVD player, you will not be able to attach it and a WII. Other than that, you can't get better than this set.

Bought this tv on Black Friday. It has a great picture and I got it at a good price. I wanted to get a sound bar to enhance the sound quality but figured out there was no optical port to connect to. I ended up having to get a sound bar that connected by hdmi. There are only 2 hdmi ports so I also had to get a device that hooked to the tv and gave me more hdmi ports.

This was a 2013 Black Friday purchase for $1000, which I'm very satisfied with. Once expectations are tempered, understanding that this is not Samsung's typical top of the line LED TV's, this TV is a great buy for the price. I have a Samsung UN65F6400 to compare this to, but I also paid $2000 for that one as opposed to $1000 for this one. There are numerous differences in design, quality, and features between these lines. The depth of this TV is thicker than most other Samsung LED's, but the TV is still light weight, though two people really are required to move it with ease. Rather than a matte finish, this TV has more of a glossy finish to it, making it very susceptible to glare in any light. I bought this TV for my basement knowing this. The lack of an optical audio out can be significant for those that use a sound bar that requires it, such as a Sonos. With those shortcomings set aside, the picture quality is otherwise excellent, especially for the price, hence the 4 star review. I wouldn't pay the $1500 MSRP for this TV, but having paid $1000, I'm extremely satisfied!

Nice tv. Best buy did a good job of tracking down unit after initially misplaced.... could use more ports but I have cable dvd and wii all connected through you just have to route wii through dvd. Still messing with the picture but for the price 65" under$1000 is a great deal.
Set up is also very easy!
