“How is it "Smart TV"? Though it calls itself a "Smart TV", it doesn't claim to have native applications, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Pandora, etc., as on my current Samsung. Rather, it says you can "surf your favorite websites with the included Web Browser." Does that mean it does not have the above applications native to the Smart TV? And, if so, how would one get that functionality? Or are you saying "use Chromecast"?”

• The TV has downloadable apps available. It comes pre-loaded with Netflix and Hulu. HBOGO and others are available. You do not need to use the web browser for streaming media services.

• On the JS8500, there is a "SmartHub" which has the functions you're you are asking about. No need for ChromeCast.

• This TV is compatible with all the Apps on the Samsung SmartHub.

• Yes it has Netflix, Pandora, Amazon and you can add any other app that you would like, but those and a couple others were already loaded and ready to go.

• It has a wide array of apps, it is a smart tv. Netflix, hulu, hbo go and many others are included pre-installed and there are a lot you can download should you choose to.
