The picture is excellent. Also, the 3D on this Samsung is excellent. The Alfred Hitchcock 3D movie (Dial M for Murder) was very good – almost negligible flaws (ghosting, blurry, cross talk, artifacts - whatever). This 3D Hitchcock on LG was unbelievably bad and really unwatchable - on the active Sony it had a moderate/considerable amount of flaws. There’s a 3D Hugo problem section, right after the automaton draws the rocket in moon picture, that has terrible blurriness on the LG – but, it’s no problem on this Samsung. I like the remote control – the slim size makes it easy to hold, and makes it easier to point and click – only thing missing is a scroll wheel, which would sure be nice (like the LG has). The Tizen operating system seems fine – easy to use – my main negative is you can only pin 9 apps to the bottom smart hub menu – why can’t it continue to the right indefinitely like the LG does. Also, it’s nice that you can customize the “My Apps” menu, but I don’t like not being able to delete what it calls “the basic set of apps on your device can’t be deleted” – it really bugs me that I can’t delete the junk I don’t want. The top “Menu123” choices seem somewhat confusing, illogical, and redundant – wish you could customize that also. I've attached what I'd rate 4 TVs that I've experience recently.

I know silly title but when your friends come over and make multiple comments about how amazing your new TV is, that really speaks for it. The picture is great, you know those scenes in movies that the screen just looks black but you know it's not... They are crystal clear. The remote with its Wii like pointer was neat, we can plug in cameras and iPhones and show pictures to a group. Also it was so thin it was a breeze to hang. Overall the purchase was great. I wasn't sure about the silver frame but don't notice it now. Glad we got it and even better we got a great deal.

This was my 2nd option to buy. After many fails with the Sony 900c I decided this Samsung was going to be next. I'm glad I got this tv. It's amazing pictures in dark films like Vikings, Supernatural are really really crisp. Blu-Ray, 3D is amazing. Sign up for UltraFlix and look through the free content. Brings this 4K to life. Easy set up with the mini box. All wires are out of sight.

I had no idea how mediocre our old Sony Bravia Full HD 60" HDTV's picture was until I got this beast up & running. The colors are so vivid! And the difference in quality (image sharpness & clarity) from the old set to this one is like night & day! The BBY rep was very helpful & was very well-trained on the key differences on why one would need a "flat" vs. "curved." Initially I was thinking about the 9000-series curved, but because our house has a TON of floor-to-ceiling windows behind the viewing area, getting the curved would have been sort of a big mistake. Very easy to get set up & configured. The only down-side: I do miss having the 10-key pad on the remote during the setup phase, as well as when I need to enter login credentials for Netflix, Hulu, etc. But I'll gladly deal with that (or just get a BT keyboard & keep it tucked away). When it's time for you to upgrade, RUN...do not walk...to get the new SUHD TV from Samsung!!!

We are extremely happy with our new TV. We thought the set up process was very easy. After installing our TV many family members went out to buy the exact same TV. We are a crazy sports family and watching hockey and football games on this TV is unbelievable. We would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking for a quality TV. We love SAMSUNG.

We are blown away with the quality of the picture of many programs. The upscaling is great and it beats my plasma TV, hands down. I can't wait until 4K programming becomes available.

I love the picture ,and all the features. Like the 3D,and the comfortable, easy to use remote.

Best tv ever. Samsung SUHD technology makes colors superior. Everything is brighter clearer easier to see. Controller is really easy to use. The menus are easy to navigate. Highly recommended!! 5 Stars!!!

There's nothing much to say about this TV except that it is so awesome!!! We got it on super sale. Ahhh getting this TV on a super sale was a nightmare like we had to call customer service and managers of different stores to get it because some bestbuy employee sold my tv to somebody else when it is supposed to be picked up. But other than that, it was all worth it! So happy with this purchased. Pictures look so clear, and I love how it is being detected by my samsung note. I can do Screen mirroring and watch videos from my phone to the TV so the whole family can watch without worrying about connecting or bluetooth and all sort of things. Oh and if they say you'll get 2 3Dgalsses don't believe them,, there's only 1 3d glasses included in the box. ( Unless we got screwed )We haven't use the 3d yet but I'm pretty sure it'll be awesome. Love love my new TV!!!

I bought the 65" Samsung JS8500 4K TV for Christmas and I have to admit that it has exceeded my expectations. I did the assembly and setup myself because I wasn't sure where I was going to locate the set when it was delivered. I called a friend to help me in moving the boxed TV to the lower level of my house. Luckily, he had helped his uncle assemble his Samsung TV earlier in the year. Attaching the stand was simple enough, however, I did have an issue getting the remote to pair to the TV. After many fruitless attempts to make it work, the TV and the remote just would not pair up. Apparently, the Samsung that his uncle had bought did not have this step in pairing his remote to his TV, so, my friend did not know why my remote wouldn't pair up. The problem was that the instruction manual did not supply enough details to properly describe the pairing procedure. After installing the batteries in the remote, you have to press two tiny square buttons just above the batteries (with the battery case open) when you are pairing the remote to the TV. You also have to cycle through the TV Setup program to the Remote Pairing Section (this was described in the instructions). When you just look at the open battery case area, it is extremely difficult to determine that there are the two square buttons there because the plastic buttons are the same color as the rest of the remote. And, if you look very carefully above the buttons, there are embossed lettering telling you to press the two buttons to pair the remote to the TV, Unfortunately, the raised letters in the plastic are the same color as the rest of the remote too!! Luckily, my friend found the buttons and paired the remote to the TV. Once this was done, I scrolled through the menu to see all of the features available on this unit. I have to admit that the clarity of the picture and the vibrant colors of the screen was fantastic right out of the box. It still amazes me how brilliant the colors are and how well the TV upscales my HD Channels. Of course there are times when you can see that the images are not 4K, however, they are few and it does not diminish the overall experience of watching a truly great 4K TV. I have run High Definition video files through the One Connect via USB and the subsequent images are as close to 4K as you can get. I would definitely recommend this TV to everyone. If you keep waiting for the next great TV, you'll end up missing out on all of the enjoyment that this fantastic 4K TV will provide you. I am so glad that I bought this TV.

Well, I was concerned when I needed to replace my Panasonic plasma TV. Every one that I talked to, including the clerks at Best Buy didn't think that I would be happy with an LED TV. Wrong. The picture is very good. Of course an LED can't match the refresh rate of plasma but it's only a minor flaw and only shows itself in extreme circumstances. For me this is a side consideration but the Smart Tv aspects of the set work flawlessly and I've had zero problems surfing the net or watching streaming content. Even screen mirroring works consistently.

Absolutely great for all types of shows. Amazing colors throughout the entire spectrum. The depth of the picture even without 3D is awesome.

Excellent picture quality. Excellent color. Excellent sound. You can't go wrong with this TV.

First off, I love this TV! I initially went with a Sony X900C series, but it suffered from bad flashlighting/light bleed. I returned it and got a great deal on the JS8500. This TV is awesome. The picture is great and the smart hub is easy to navigate. The mini connect box is partially good. The idea is great and being able to upgrade it down the road is a fantastic option. (The mini connect box houses ALL of your HDMI connections and some USB.) After making sure this was the right TV for me, I bought a nice wall mount and proceeded to drill and cut holes in my wall. It was after I cut the holes for the cable to be hidden behind my wall that I realized, "Huston, we have a problem". The mini connect cable is only 7 ft long. Sounds and looks long, but when you feed it behind the TV, into the wall, out the bottom of the wall and try to pull it back up to connect to the mini connect box in your TV stand or AV rack, the cable comes up about 2 ft short. I contacted Samsung and AV Forums only to find that there is not a longer cable to purchase. I have found instances where a cable is listed, but upon further research, it is not supported by 2015 TV models. (There is a 10 ft/3 meter cable option for 2014 models.) Please take this into consideration when purchasing this TV. That, so far, is the only complaint I have. Everything else about this TV is fantastic! As for the proprietary cable, I may buy another cable and attempt to splice them together. If I do and am successful, I will update this review. As a reminder, most new TV models come out in April. Now is good time to buy a high-end TV for a great price or you could wait and get the latest and greatest. Good luck!

This is a really awesome TV and once you learn the apps, it is clear sailing. The picture has been beyond of what I expected. I plan on purchasing 2 more Sansung TV's for my home. Great reviews. I hope this last as long as my old TV (15) years. I am also pleased with customer service. They were very pleasant to deal with. I will be a regular in Best Buy

Picture is outstanding the colors just pop out at you.it was a little more expensive than the other brands but when I got it home and set up it was well worth the price

Looked at a lot of TV's along with doing some research on them. Couldn't be happier with the product. I didn't love the metal trim but it's actually grown on me. Quality is top notch and couldn't beat the sales price.

Grabbed this one at a great price open box and couldn't be much happier with what I got for the money. Calibration notes are readily available online and look great. Nice blacks and crazy bright highs. Glare is more prevalent than some. Quick note - the input box is separate which makes clean wall mounting a bit tricky (but I was able to stash it behind the tv itself). Love the bezel. Love the picture. Very smart TV, too. Win.

Best 4k TV out ! Love it ! Sleek style best look and picture on the market ! Look at the picture this is a 65 inch so if it's going in living room anything smaller would not work !
