• No. In fact we rarely use 3d as it is not real good unless you have 3d content .With 3d content picture is pretty darn good though.

• No, the 3D is not required to be used to watch TV as you can turn it on or off.

• The 3d feature can be turned on and off. Its not really essential for regular tv viewing but is ideal for watching blu ray movies for a more immersive experience.

• You don't have to use the 3D feature. It's enabled manually by going into the menu and enabling 3D.
