The Curve is in a rather large box (too wide for my Chevy Captiva, too wide for a friends Toyota pickup. Granted, these items are carefully packed, but I would be extremely afraid of damaging it. Rough road, rain, hail, etc. It is well worth it to have it delivered.

(about 10 miles of smooth road) The sales associate advised going slow and avoiding large bumps - that advice seemed to work. So yes, you can do it - just be careful. Getting the beast out of the box and set up by myself was far more nerve wracking. lol

Best Buy offers free delivery so we chose that service. It took them only 2 days to accomplish. Gave me time to assemble the new entertainment center we also purchased.
