• There are two locations the legs can go. First is very close to the edge of the tv 2nd is about 10" from the edge on the 65" model

• The legs have 2 settings on the 65" that I purchased. The farthest are near the edge of the TV and another set was approximately 8-10 inches inside of that. This was also a concern I had, as well, until I unboxed mine at home. I didn't have a tape measure with me when I went TV shopping but the sales person told me I could return it if it didn't fit my cabinet. I don't know if he even knew there were 2 settings to the base.

• Yes one place is at 49" and then the next is approximately 13 less.
