QuestionMy sound bar HW-J6500R/ZA is half as loud when I use the optical connection through the all in one box as compared to the bluetooth connection. also I can't control the volume up and down when I use the TV remote when I use the optical connection. Why?

- Answer I'm running a hk-f8500 from the fourth (last) HDMI socket on the all in one. Make sure you use a HDMI cable the has ARC and HDMI-CEC capabilites (don't use one of those older ones you might have laying around the house), so your sound bar can receive the signals needed for the TV to control it. The main thing we watch is Directv Now thru an Apple TV (4th gen). When we flick the Apple TV on, it sends a signal to turn the Samsung TV on, and then the TV sends a signal to fire up the sound bar thru the HDMI-CEC cable (providing you have the TV sending the audio output to the soundbar). All in all it's pretty sweet - and it's pretty cool to flick one button, and fire up all 3 devices. This should solve your sound volume, and control issues up...

- Answer My best guess is to check the Expert settings in the System menu and make sure the Autorun Smart Hub is active.

QuestionWhen my TV is off, I can see a vertical line directly in the middle of the screen. When TV is on, it doesn't seem to distort anything. Is this normal? Do all the curve TV's have this?

- Answer Mine does not do that. I would not consider that normal by any means. I would contact Samsung tech support.

- Answer Hi Hoya, the USA is on a 110v 60hz power standard, where-as most other countries use a 240v 50hz standard. A converter would be needed to power the TV in a country using the 240v system. ^Rosi

- Answer It will try to. The remote will try to connect to every device you have that is turned on when the remote is set up. It did a pretty good job of that for me. Unfortunately it did not have enough buttons to fully control all the devices so I am back to my Harmony remote for full control. The one connect is just a box that enables you to connect the signals from various devices to the TV. It does not control anything. It is just a signal feed. It is wonderful in that you connect to the box and not the back of the TV set so it is very easy to put the box in a location that all of your connecting cords can easily reach.

- Answer Yes. Standard 400x400 mounting is what I read.Mine is on a table however, so I can't speak to easae of setup.

- Answer While I'm sure a direct line is always the best - I'm pulling 60 megs thru wifi from Charter (using their supplied Netgear router). I checked my flow rate using an Apple TV unit attached (using the Speed check that is free to download). The router is dual band, and I run everything on the 5 gig side, as I find the Apple TV's are touchy, and we get interference in the house when when you shoot the signals on the 2 gig bandwidth - especially when someone is trying to nuke something in the microwave oven in the kitchen. ...

QuestionMost important question is what is the refresh rate of this TV? I kno it says clear motion 240 but with samsung THAT does not mean 240Hz. It could be 120Hz. So whats the answer?

- Answer All Samsung tv refresh rates are cut in half. This is 240, so it's a true 120.
