QuestionDoes this tv have HLG? It is not listed in the spec and I would find it odd that Samsung has it for the 7 series and not this 8 series.

QuestionWhat is the difference between a standard and a smart remote? The Crystal UHD series 7 has one, but this TV doesn't.

- Answer I’ve seen both terms used for the 2 different remotes. My thought is that the only difference is the Smart remote has App specific buttons while the standard does not meaning you will have to open the menu & navigate to the App with a Standard remote.

QuestionJust got this tv today, and the picture is beautiful. Was pretty easy to set up with our cable box. However, my husband and I are old school and are already missing a remote with numbers on it to just punch in a channel. Can we set up our cable remote?

- Answer My DirecTV remote works with this TV. We didn’t have to do anything to set it up, our prior TV was a Samsung and it just connected. However I do prefer the TV remote once I worked out all the how-tos.
