QuestionAnyone having issues with no sound? I bought this tv a little over a year ago I don’t know if anyone noticed but you have to turn the volume to at least 80 or 90 to hear. And Samsung want basically what we paid for the tv to fix it. I

- Answer The volume is certainly my ONLY issue with this set. Course I do wonder if the TV Stations influence that as well. Sometimes I need to turn it a bit higher than what I would like just to hear.....

- Answer The metal trim around the edge is 1/8 in. wide on the front, and it is black--totally unnoticeable. It is not lighted.

- Answer I use mine sitting on a tv console table. Yes, inverted V legs come with the tv and are attached by just popping them onto the bottom of the tv in designated places. It's very sturdy.

QuestionWhen watching a DVR show or Netflix, the screen will be replaced by what looks a cascading wave of dots. We have to exit the show, go back to live TV, and then restart the show. It does not happen with live TV. How do we fix this?

QuestionWhy do we always have to have it at 90% for the volume? Should have better sound. Terrible sound from this tv.

- Answer Hi Howie, Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume. There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience. 1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume. 2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound. 2) Several Sound are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again. I hope this helps! ~Samsung Advisor

- Answer Hi oldMAN72, You will not need to connect the AU8000 TV to a computer. You can connect it to an antenna for local channels or a cable box. If you want, you can connect it to the internet to access Streaming platforms such as Netflix or Hulu, but it is not necessary.
