“Planning on mounting this to the wall. I started assembling the mount and noticed that screws go into TV mounting holes only about 4.25 turns and that's without the wall mount. Is that enough to secure this 50 + lb. TV to the wall? Am I missing something?”

Get longer screws -50mm or and add washers as needed. Also make sure Sheetrock wall is reinforced or use significant anchor system to secure the TV.
