The legs are 40 “ apart. I love this tv. Note that the size 65” is measured diagonally, meaning top corner to bottom corner so the actual width is less than 65 inches. I had geek squad mount mine. They attached my surround sound too. What a great, professional job they did. No wires showing and everything centered. This is a quality tv.
