“i have a 5.1 ch s\Sony home theater (2011) with this tv. The volume through the tv speakers is fine, but when i try to play content with the home theater turned on, audio gets cut every 5 secs. you think i need new HDMI cables? (2.1 or something fancy?)”

• It sounds like an incompatibility issue....or an update is needed for the sony sound bar.....sorry I couldn't be of any further help.
