I chose Samsung QLED over OLED because worries about burn in would ruin my viewing experience. I watch a lot of news and the station logos would definitely burn in as would the information bars along the bottom of the screen. Gaming score boards and statistics windows would probably burn in if they are displayed a lot.

But Yes burn in is Real but with this years Oleds they have made precautions to help prevent burn in. But to my honest opinion, Oled is the best of 4k you can buy . Hdr is excellent.. But the its a time sensitive technology. I don't care what you read . The more you play games and watch sports.. over time the individual pixels that have they own light with dim over time. Now the Samsung Q8FN and its Big Brother Q9FN are more Gamer friendly. They have free sync and their game mode is Awesome! Adding quantum dot technology with high peak brightness with Q8fn at 1500 nits and Q9fn at 2000 nits. Makes games like Anthem and Crackdown 3 or games like God of war and Spiderman Ps4 colors POP!! The blacks are inky with little or none blooming. Banding is still a risk but it depends on the panel lottery. I have the 65inch Q8fn and I Love it. With no issuses.. i have been gaming on it and watch 4k hdr movies.. Eye poping color and Excellent Contrats with Good motion.. I would most definitely go with the Qled .. Xbox one x matches Well it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We don't play games, but the sales associate did caution us about the burn-in on the LG OLED and made the recommendation to the Samsung QLED. Also due to the fact that there is direct sunlight into the room the Samsung was to be a better fit.

I don’t think burning is as that likely. I’d also get the warrantee if you are worried about this. The Samsung is going to be much brighter if that’s what you’re going for. If I were you I would pick one give it a try and if you didn’t like it you can return it. Best Buy is really good at taking care of their customers on this.
