A:AnswerYou would buy this instead of an OLED if its going to be in a bright room and you are worried about burn in. OLEDs can get burn in if you watch a bunch of news shows or play games for hours a day. If its going to be running for 10+ hours a day then safer to get a QLED. Basically, after a few months of use a game HUD or news ticker bar would be burned into the TV and persist through other images.
This TV is close to OLED, not quite there yet but it does show black with other content on the TV and its able to turn sections of the TV off to show better blacks. That's why you buy a Full Array Local Dimming TV instead of Edge Lit.
A:AnswerA quick Google search showed that the q80 is the 2019 version of the same tv. Based on what I can tell, it seems that the only significant difference is that the newer model has updated technology to interface with various voice assistant devices.
A:AnswerI have had the tv for 2 months no and have seen no flaw what so ever. I purchased the 5year warranty with that and the tech support with was a LOT cheaper than shows online. If there are any issues, Best Buy will stand by it 100%. Same thing with an online service like Crutchfield.
A:AnswerMinor differences are pretty much it for the 2018 to 2019 comparisons between (and especially for the higher end TV’s) this time around. The Samsung TV’s are reliable and have a great life expectancy. I have had Samsung TV’s in my home for many years without a single failure in any of them. Ranging from their Plasma TV’s to this one, and several more.
A:AnswerDon't know for sure,
You can get the owners manual on line. It might help.

A:AnswerThe TV speakers do not support Dolby Atmos and even if it did, you wouldn’t even feel the effect of the Dolby Atmos. You would still need a sound bar. Concerning Dolby Vision, Samsung has never supported Dolby Vision on any of thereTV’s.
A:AnswerI'm an NHL guy and I watch the playoffs on the new tv and it is amazing! The picture is clean and crisp with no fast action blur. I was coming from a high end 5 year old Sony Bravia and really cannot believe the difference in the picture quality, its stunning. You should not have any problems with the new Samsung.
