A quick Google search showed that the q80 is the 2019 version of the same tv. Based on what I can tell, it seems that the only significant difference is that the newer model has updated technology to interface with various voice assistant devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From my research, the q8f and the Q80 are basically identical. Some of the hardware/software is literally the same but with a new name. The only real difference was to do with one aspect of the software. I know my answer is vague, so just do a side by side model comparison in google and you will get your answer. Upon concluding my research, I saved $600 by going with lasts years q8f. Great tv so far.
