Yes, I own both Q80R and Q8FN. The viewing angles on the 2019 model improves greatly allowing me to move from one end of couch to the other end. I can also lay down on couch and do not notice any shift or reduction in image quality. This was not possible with the Q8FN as colors and contrast would wash out when moving to another seat or laying down.

Please try again later.It sure eis and not just for that for the new image processing my q8fn doesnt compare it only does on color the rest it just canf the image on the q80r is much more crisp and sharp the image stays great at an angle and they made up for the contrast Loss to where you cant even see the loss because of the engeneering the new ultra black elite filters helps the glare even more and helps blacks stay extremely deep the local dimming is much better no more lag and the blacks side by side actually look deeper on the q80r people cant believe it because they dont think about engeenering the new algorithm is amazing it's a huge upgrade not a little one and now I can enjoy 1080p content unlike last year the noise in the picture is also reduced it just looks better it reminds you of an OLED the way things glow just brighter tho even the whites now on a black background have a glow instead of just being flat they still do dim but somehow with the sub pixel rendering they made the whites look like oled white and flames just look 3 dimensional you wont be upset with the upgrade and sont listen to the brightness stuff people may say it doesnt test as high on test windows but we dont watch test windows its actually rated brighter on real scene content and you will notice its bright the real scene content brightness is brighter then the q8fn just like the q90r real scene brifhtness is higher then the q9fn meaning the content and highlights are actually brighter the AI processor is just amazing blacks are very deep thr local dimming is better it's a good upgrade I feel bad for people that dont check one our because of what people say about it that have never even owned it all because they hear viewing angle filter thinking well the contrast is lower so it cant be as good they dont think oh wait the filters are better the algorithm is better and the processor is better mabye they found a way to make it look like it actually has more contrast just like Sony used to do just like Sony did with there z9d it's amazing you will live it and now everything isnt I've saturated and no more red hue over everything the colors pop and glow where they should and even more in many scenes on hdr especially the reds and greens will blow you away the way they just glow that's the best way to describe it is an oled glow but with much better red then oled produces
