From the wall to the front of my dryer I measured 36 1/2".

Samsung recommends a minimum of 2" clearance in front of the dryer and 5" behind it, for a total depth of 37" when installing the DV422EWHDWR in a closet. Please see the attached illustration which includes other location considerations such as ventilation requirements.
