The door can open the door left to right, or right to left.  You can switch which side the hinges are on.  If you order delivery and installation, they can put the door on the way you want it.

Otherwise, it's pretty simple, only needs a screwdriver and something to help prop the door up while you screw the door back on.  Only takes a half hour or so.

Yes, the door opens from the upper left side where there is a slot large enough for a hand to pull and that opens the door from the side.
