I just purchased a dryer with a reversible glass door and yes that means it can open in whatever direction you want it to (mine opens from right to left)...you can either have the salesperson put it right on your invoice or ask the people who come to install it to change the direction ... it took about 2 minutes!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are covers and screws to remove. The door can then be flipped to the other side, screws, and cover plates reinstalled to change the "swing" of the door.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought one of these and I needed the same scenario. Unfortunately, I didn't think of it until the machine was being delivered and no one at Best Buy cared to ask while taking my money. DOH! Mine showed up with the door on the wrong side and the delivery guys weren't willing to switch it around for me, so I very hesitantly and cautiously went about switching it around myself. The short answer is that by "reversible", they mean that you can disassemble and reassemble the hinge on whichever side you need. It only took me about 10 minutes to do so, but taking apart the door of a BRAND new machine was rather unnerving. Since Best Buy sells these things far more often than us consumers buy them, I think they should make it a habit to ask the customer "on which side would you like the hinge"? The driver did say that if you request it ahead of time that sometimes the warehouse will change it for you.
