The fill hose for the steam function of the dryer does not require any special connector or separate water supply, and yes, it is connected to the same place as the washer. There was no additional connection created when our dryer was installed. dc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this model does not require a water connection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a splitter included so that you can add the dryer in with the washer feed, but you still need a connecting water hose.

BUT you still need one more regular hose to go from the Y connector to the dryer - they only give you 2 and you really need 3. The final setup is: 1. Hose from hot water output to washer 2. Short inlet hose from cold water output to "Y" connector piece 3. Hose from "Y" connector piece to washer 4. Hose from "Y" connector piece to dryer (for steam function) DO NOT connect the "Y" connector piece directly to any water supply. The short inlet hose is there to temper the pressure. We bootlegged it and hooked the inlet hose to the washer directly because my plumbing is too spread out and could not make things reach to the cold water connector to the dryer. I DO NOT recommend this - I feel like it's going to break any day now and we are trying to fix it ASAP. It should be connector per the 4 steps above.
