Q: QuestionCan the dryer be turned upside down and the control panel reversed so the controls would be upright at the bottom of the dryer? I could never reach the controls when stacked normally.

I see your point, since I am not tall myself. Samsung had created a multicontrol kit. These would enable control of the dryer right from the washer when units are stacked. Q: QuestionThis thing is using hot water when I choose cold setting. Hoses are hooked up correctly. How can I turn this feature off? I do not want the hot water used in every wash.

• A:Answer Yes, it will be a tight fit but it will be enough clearance. I have 34.25" from the wall to the front of the unit, this includes the hose behind the unit. I assume the width of the closet is adequate.

Q: QuestionI just purchased this washing machine. How do you use the steam function? It lists it as a feature but there is nothing on the front panel or in the manual about a steam function. That is one of the main reasons I bought this machine.

• A:Answer I am unfamiliar with the particular brand, but if it is an “HE” soap, then I think the answer is yes. I also have allergy issues, but use All Free & Clear, as it is a high efficiency soap. You do not want to use too much soap concentrate in a front load washer! There is little water used and too much soap will gunk everything up.
