No, i have an otter box cover and i dont take the cover off to charge it, and is a quick charge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on the thickness of your case, if it’s light weight it should have no problem letting the power pass through, I use a Samsung Alcantara Case which has no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.With my Supcase Beetle I don't have to remove the case. I did find that I have to place phone sideways to charge. Without the case you can stand up and charges. I'm guessing the addition of the case makes the phones interior pad to high for the charger. That is my only complaint. It is a great charger.

However, I had to position the ring thing a hit below middle of phone and place it upside down the vertical pad to charge. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, yes it does have to be removed from the case in order to use the charger. However, I recently purchased a note 9 and was able to find a case that supported QI (wireless) charging.
