“Why is this Series 7 edge lit while the Series 6 was direct lit? I also see the LG competitors are direct lit which Ive read is a better technology to distribute the light across entire TV.”

Hi Carlos! Thank you so much for bringing this detail to our attention, we will get this corrected. The 70" TU7000 features a Direct Lit backlight type. ^Gina
