• A:Answer I had this problem also. The remote that comes with this tv is very weak. I have a Harmony remote I use with my system. If you have a remote to an older Samsung tv you can turn it off with it.

I bought a 70" TV and had the Geek Squad install it, obviously for an extra price. They brought the TV, installed it and even took away a couple of old tube TV's. Couldn't be happier and worth every penny.
