This unit includes a television, but not a surround sound system. A surround sound system would be purchased separately - and many makes and models are compatible with this television. There is not a tuner built into the television, however many of the Smart TV Apps do have music features (like Pandora) that will allow you to listen to music with limited or no commercials using your existing Internet connection.
