• Edge lit. The 2018 TVs are full array starting with the Q8 series but it's $1800 more in this size.

• Yes it has the local Dimming. I just Received another Q7 because the local dimming was changing on Its own. I will hold it for another week or 2 before I make a decision on keeping that TV..
