Please try again later.The Q60R has no local dimming feature, which means when you’re trying to watch HDR content, it can’t get the same level of contrast (deep dark sand bright highlights) because the entire backlight system (which is edge-lit) to the screen is at the same level. The Q70R tv does have this feature, so those movies and shows with HDR will be much, much better in their presentation. And the lighting system is evenly distributed across the whole screen instead of from just the sides. Essentially, with these two features, the Q70R performs better with more “pop” and brightness to look better in either bright or dark rooms. It’s a big step-up. Honestly though, other brands perform as good or better, and have even more features than Samsung, so I’d look elsewhere.
