QuestionMy home was pre-wired for home theather/hdmi about 8-yrs ago, will my current HDMI be an issue projecting picture for this model? I understand that I may not be able to get 4k quality but will I get a decent picture if any at all with my current wiring?

Ambient Mode elevates your space by displaying décor, weather information, artwork, trending pictures, and stories based on your interests. Ambient mode can be launched using the remote, or through the Smart Things application where you can set routines and the ability to turn on Ambient mode when you are near the TV. ^Tim

QuestionDoes the Samsung Q8Dt have mire than 1 4k hdmi port?

- Answer Yes it has 3 hdmi ports. I have multiple gaming systems plus an arc so i use a hdmi switcher as well. All the gaming goes thru the arc for best surround sound but this tv has you do it a specific way. The tv is designed to give you the best sound quality so it does want you to put them a certain way. It was pretty wietd at first as to why but it works. The arc is hdmi 3. My gaming hdmi switcher is hdmi 1 and the cable is hdmi 2. Even though the arc is on hdmi 3 all the sound does go thru it even though is in a different port. Best thing is no more changing sources when playing. The tv will automatically change the source when you turn on / off the gaming system.

QuestionThe part of the wall where I will need the wall mount is in a division between a high and low niche space.... the height of this division wall is about 6.5” . Would this height fix the tv mount for a 75” TV? Thank you..

- Answer I think they are basically the same TV. Samsung, like many brands, provides the same products to different retailers with a similar model number to prevent price matching. Check the Samsung.com website descriptions for both or search YouTube to be sure.

- Answer They have the usual (Netflix, Prime, Hulu) apps, etc. But, you can find and add just about any streaming service app in the Samsung Store - including Apple TV, HBO Max, PBS, Disney+, Spotify, etc. that are not found on other software platforms. For example I could not get Apple TV, HBO Max, Disney + or PBS on my 2018 65 inch LG UHDF TV thru LGs online store - very disappointing. I really like the Haystack news service (very creative) offered by Samsung - which I have not seen on LG or Sony.

- Answer I have multiple gaming systems. This tv has 3 hdmi ports. I also have arc system plus cable. I use an hdmi splitter. I have the new ps5 and it plays great. All ports are 4k supported but hdmi 3 is enhanced to supprt the arc for better sound quality as well.

- Answer You can hookup thru hdmi if thats what you currently use. I will also do bluetooth. The sound systems go in hdmi 3.

- Answer No. Probably a few years before that will be necessary. We will need a converter box similar to the old analog/ digital box when ATSC 1.0 was introduced and older TV’s were only equipped to receive analog.

QuestionWhat accessories do I need for this type TV? Also I need to have old TV (that does not work removed from wall). It was a 65 inch,,, will my wall mount accommodate a 75 inch TV, if not can I have a new wall mount installed? need tech to set up.

- Answer Whether or not your current wall mount would accommodate the 75 inch TV is dependent on the specs for your wall mount. Find out from the manufacturer. Call BB for further details. You can pay for them to set up a new wall mount if necessary.

QuestionOne of the streaming services that my family watches is Disney+. This new 75 Q80T has a Disney Now app but not a Disney+ app. The BB web page for this TV clearly says that it is supported. There are other apps missing too. How do I get these apps?

QuestionHired BB Geek Squad to hook Q80T 75 " to Q60 soundbar. Best Buy should have connected using the HDMI ARC. Instead they used the Optical cable. We tried to change it but TV nor SB are recognizing the connection ? Only TV Speaker or Optical, please help.
