“Don't get the one connect box. I thought the purpose was to have a wire run from the tv to the box which is at a distance through (7- 9 ft) through the wall, but after reading more the cable can't do this? What is the point if not?”

My cable is about 8 feet long. Long enough to run through the wall to were the components are. I love the one connect. I can easily plug in a hard drive without having to reach behind the tv. It is wall mounted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You're correct. The purpose of the cable is to run from the TV to the box. ("Connect Box") If you're setting the TV on a stand, you channel the cable through the slots on the back of the TV and over to (& through) the feet (stands) provided. Then run the White HDMI through the back of the TV stand (table) and plug into the "connect box", which you can now plug your (High Speed HDMI) coming from your DVD, Gaming Console, etc. Now plug the power cord into a receptacle or Surge- Protector strip.
