• Yes it will fit, I have mine on a tv stand that is 65” x 18” and the legs have about 8 inches on each side.

• I would not recommend that as this TV weighs approx. 100 pounds. If it gets bumped, or moved it could fall and hurt a child or pet. It would also be a total loss of a fair amount of cash. Invest in a nice wall mounting bracket, to keep your real investment, and small creatures out of harm's way.
