“Has anyone used the stand instead of mounting it on the wall? If so do you have a problem of it leaning backwards any and not straight up? Have I done something wrong?”

I own both the 65 and 85 inch versions of this TV and i use the stands for both. They both tilt backwards just slightly the tv shown is the 85 inch one

I noticed that TV with stand is heavy, most of the TV tables are not designed to hold that heavy weights (specially Ikea). I didn't notice TV leaning backwards, but check if it's your TV table problem, maybe that wood cannot hold that much weight. Or maybe the way you installed is wrong.

Geek squad installed ($200) this 85 inch tv on a tv stand for me, assembled/attached stand with control box, downloaded updates and ensured everything was working as expected. Geek Squad spent about 20 minutes attaching the stand and then attaching the control box to the stand. They to struggled a little with the stand and control box. You may have made an error attaching the stand. This tv is huge and weighs over 100 pounds, and takes at least 2 people to move. I transferred my Amazon Fire Stick 4k with all my current apps from my old tv.
