If you're replacing a 3.5 inch drive, you may need some type of 3.5 to 2.5 inch hard drive adapter. Otherwise you'll just lay it where the old drive was. Cabling is the same as the old drive
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After checking out the case it seems that changing the drive itself is pretty simple. The hard part is that you will have to reinstall the OS or you will need to clone the existing drive. Cloning software can make the process pretty simply but your case may be a problem because the lack of a place to add another drive, If you can find some unused SATA connectors to connect up a new drive in temporary fashion you should be fine. However you may consider reinstalling the OS anyway just to start clean and not have to partially disassemble that case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same machine. It's pretty difficult for the average person but it's possible. Make sure you have the short sata cable that came with the g20. You'll also void your warranty and will have to remove the gpu and cooling fans. Just look up rog g20 ssd upgrade on YouTube. There's several videos.
