• It absolutely will. I have one in my 2010 MacBook Pro. You'll be amazed at how much it will speed up your older MacBook. Absolutely everything runs faster. You should note that some specialized screwdrivers are needed to replace the drive in a MacBook Pro.

• Thank you for your answers. I have successfully installed this Samsung 850 EVO 1TB Internal SATA III Solid State Drive - into my 13” MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) running OSX El Capitan. I followed uberDoward’s video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3j3FtERGMY and using Carbon Copy Clonerand a Serial ATA to USB Power Connector. This drive is very fast, I recommend this drive without hesitation

• Yes it will. I used the StarTech USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive Adapter Cable w/ UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD/HDD - Hard Drive Adapter Cable and Carbon Copy Cloner to clone this hard drive. Everything worked flawlessly.
