Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you are correct a solid state drive or SSD has no moving parts. Instead SSDs use flash drives very similar to what our cell phones and tablets use. If you do not have a SSD you are missing out in life! Not only does this increase boot up speed but also program transition, closing of programs, faster downloads, etc. just realize you are purchasing a powerful SSD has really has not limits (unless of course your unit/ machine/ computer really has other limitations such as RAM or other hardware limitations) think of HDs or hard dives as record players with small needles inside when our computer tells the HD what to do it has to lift the needle, move it to the area that it needs and set down the needle. SSDs do not have this. It's more or less if you tell your computer to open Firefox- all of the little workers inside of the SSD all stand up at once to make the magic happen. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sure if you Google it you'll find all the info you want on this. I've read something about 3D Nand and VLC, whatever that is. Regardless, solid state is as quick as lightning. No waiting in other words.
