• Yes. Have used several in desktops. Most desktop installations require a hard drive mounting bracket.

• Yes, as long as your computer is configured to use SATA drives. An adapter may be required to properly mount it into the space where a classic HD would because it is a smaller form factor. Adapters can be found on the web at very reasonable prices.

• Yes, I installed this into an ASUS tower. Use the screws that came out of your old hard drive and screw one side into the brackett. Towers aren't suppose to be moved from place to place so there's no danger of it bouncing around.
