Yes, I bought this for my Dell R620 and works as expected.

Yes. It will work in any computer that supports SATA. Don't bother formatting it as FAT or NTFS. Use one of the newer FATs and you will be fine.

If you are only using 1 single solitary drive in your R610, then yes I have seen it work, but it needs and adapter for the HD Caddy. However if you wish to use several SSDs set up in a RAID configuration, you need to upgrade the RAID card to one that supports SSD drives, to something like a PowerEdge RAID Controller H730P.
