The Samsung Data Migration utility will transfer over your Operating system partition and boot up like nothing is different. The factory recovery partition will not transfer over however, but that will not stop the drive from booting up to your operating system.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once you have added all your software to the old drive you will not need to reinstall on the new drive as separate installs. Better off using EaseUS Todo Backup to clone drive than the samsung supplied software. You can get it online and see the clone procedure. Place the ssd into an external enclosure if you don't have room for 2 drives in your computer (ie laptop). clone the current drive to the external drive and then replace your old drive with the new ssd.
