Samsung- 860 EVO 500GB

I have purchased 10 already various interface types and the performance is awesome on every single one, specially for old laptops to increase speed performance compare to traditional hard drives the difference is from heaven to earth, superfast and very reliable. With a ram upgrade (16GB) and this new SSD drive my client's laptop was able to boot in less than 20 seconds and ready to use.

Great Way to Speed Things Up

Opens apps quickly and turns on super fast since I installed the operating system on the SSD and used the older hard drive only for storage.

Great upgrade to grandma's laptop

Along with removing the bloatware and years of missing updates, replacing the original spinning disk hard drive with this solid state model put the pep back in grandma's laptop's step! It slid right into place, was a breeze to restore to and runs circles around the original model. Go Samsung, go!

Brought Old iMac Back to Life

Cloned the old HD to the SSD before installing. Pulled the old HD out and just stuck this in with some good 3m double sided tape. It’s feather light so you don’t need an adapted bracket. Booted right up and sped everything up immensely. Easy upgrade to get a few more years out of my old iMac.

Your not going to get M.2 speed but it's still definitely faster than a SATA 7200 rpm drive hands down. You will definitely notice a substantial speed increase for your operating system if that's what you're installing for your load time, if you're looking at it for games you'll definitely notice a speed increase on load times of maps and games period for the price hands down is definitely well worth the investment.

Bought a Samsung SSD 860 EVO it’s fast!

My backup and Daughter’s early 2011 was moving slow. Track pad had issues. While replacing the battery I put in this SSD and waited to see if she noticed. She did, it’s wicked fast and she noticed. Great price so I replace my backup system. I DJ and fast start ups are nice. These Mac’s run better then the first day! Try that with a nine year old Dell!

Great ssd for my Acer nitro 5

I’ve bought the 500 gb 850 before and is still going strong on my old hp laptop. Great value when you get them on sale at Best Buy . Samsung ssd’s are always dependable when it comes to solid state drives.

The Geek Squad and Samsung good combination

The Geek Squad installed it into my Laptop Now my laptop performs much better. It has been less than a month since installation however at this point I highly recommend this SSID by Samsung a leader is solid state technology among other things.

Not as good as specifications

The results showed the sequential read speed 284, and write speed 271, which were much lower than the specifications. However, after performance optimization with the software, the sequential read speed was increased to 2802, and write speed to 3203.

really good drive
