You do have SATA on that model. But that is real old and the CPU is slow and your memory wont handle Windows 10 with any speed. Price out a newer laptop and then ask yourself if it is worth patching the old Laptop up or going for more reliability and speed.

The Samsung RV515 appears to have an easy access to it's internals. I suggest you open the laptop to check it out. I believe it has SATA, and you should be able to just plug this in as replacement. Since you're replacing a disk drive, this will be a significant improvement. As for memory, I suggest you go to Crucial.com, enter the brand/make/model of your laptop and it will tell you what max RAM it can go, what type and so on.
