This drive will work in any PC, desktop or notebook that has a standard SATA hard drive connection. It's a 2.5" drive, so to mount it in most desk top computers a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter would be useful however it can be mounted anywhere it will fit, even with double stick tape. Some folks that I've heard of just let it lay in the bottom of the computer or just let it hang from the wires. There are no power supply restrictions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive will work in any desktop PC as long as it has a SATA data and power connection available. Some cases will have mounting locations for SSDs. If yours doesn't, it can still be mounted in a standard HDD (3 1/2") bay with the use of an adapter. All four of my Samsung SSDs came with an adapter of sorts. It is a foam rubber piece that, I assume, is supposed to fill the gap on one side of the 3 1/2 bay. I haven't had the need to use one yet as all of the computers I have these in (except one) have specifically designed mounts of SSDs. That one exception... and I do not recommend this...is simply hanging there by the power cable. These hard drives have no moving parts so I am not concerned about how I have it mounted. Again, I do not recommend that anybody else do this :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use this with a desktop PC if it has a SATA bus.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works great in my desktop. (Pavillion 500-505T) I used the Samsung data migration download and it copied my hard drive over with no loss, using only a sata3 to USB(2or3 both will work) adapter cable and then I switched them out. My desktop cranks up and rocks in 32 seconds. as compaired to almost 3 minutes with the old hard drive, and im running a simple I5 processor. Love it. Voltage requirement is same as the old drive but uses less as its not spinning a motor. Its a lot smaller than the old drive so I just used some 1 way pull ties and hung it up in the box and plugged it in with the old drives plug, then I formatted the old hard drive and plugged it in with an extra cable and use it just for storage . So now ive got 500 gigs just for storage and a bitchin fast SSD drive for whatever besides the operating system..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would definitely work with your desktop. Unless you played with the inside installing other things, you should have plenty of space. Make sure you use an SSD cable. Should check that before buying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should. Your only problem will be insuring it mounts securely though since there are no moving parts it can probably lay anywhere and not block ventilation. My desktop's mounting tray also accepted the smaller size and since it is a sata connection the previous connectors worked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will depend on your motherboard and power supply, but assuming your pc is a mainstream model and no more than 5 years old, it should!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will
