Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't own Mac's so I can't say for sure but what you need to find out first is the following: What type of drive is in your current iMAC. It could be a standard HDD, or a SSD (solid state drive) or a Fusion drive (a hybrid drive with part HDD and part SSD). Your OS and apps would be stored on the SSD and other data on the HDD. The Fusion drive should be a SATA type drive and that is what the Samsung SSD is. Meaning they have a SATA connection. But I don't know if a Fusion drive is larger than the 2.5" Samsung SSD? Your best bet is to check with the Geek Squad or Mac Reps. at Best Buy. Good luck!
