• A:Answer Yes it is compatible with your system all you need is too hook up to a open SATA on the mother board with a SATA cable and connect it to SATA power connector! And if you dont have it on the Power supply than you can purchase a 4pin modular to SATA power adapter.

• A:Answer it would be compatible with a PC definitely. And, it should work with a MAC, but the MAC might not support that large of a drive. To know for sure, I'd get in touch with the Apple Store. If you haven't run a scan, you can run a scan at Crucial.com to see about upgrades to your MAC. I've ben thinking about doing the same for my I MAC, but haven't done the research yet. I've put 2 TB Ssd chips in three PCs, but not a MAC. Good Luck.

• A:Answer Using an SSD as a boot driver is VERY doable. But you need sufficient capacity to run the OS and applications. Consider getting at 1 Tb SSD for about $100 or a 2Tb SSD for about $200. You can then clone your existing your existing HDD, install the SSD, and set your SSD as the boot drive. Samsung has their own cloning tools, Corsair has a great SSD cloning kit, and there are freeware SSD cloining tools as well. If you do this, you will get a much faster, more reliable PC. Go For it!

• A:Answer You’ve just got to know what drive in there now. If it’s a 2.5 SATA (which mine was) then you’re good. Look at your spec sheet to see what your current drive is, then simply match the size profile (physical dimensions) and the connection type. Samsung makes SSD’s that fit your computer, guaranteed. You’ve just got to know what physical size and what electrical connection is used.
