“Are the rear speakers up firing? Pictures seem to suggest a flat hard top with no sound vents. Trying to figure out if all the up-firing speakers are on the bar or spread around the room.”

Not too much sound from rear speakers, the front bar is the one you can hear more.

There are upfiring speakers on the sound bar and also on the rears, the rears have front firing and up firing speakers.
