QuestionIs it possible to buy rear speakers separately (HW Q9500t)? I know it comes with rear speakers exclusive to the Q9500T however, I’m looking for a better quality rear speaker, is there one I can substitute on my own?

- Answer I have a Q900T soundbar and purchased the Samsung rear speaker kit SWA-9100S. The rear speaker volume was not that great so I decided to upgrade it’s sound level exponentially using a stronger amplifier. First thing is to purchase the Samsung rear speaker kit that is compatible with your model (not sure which kit is compatible with the Q9500T) + Pyle PCA2 home theatre amplifier for under $40+ RCA to stereo adaptor under $7. Secondly, You will connect the Samsung Amp to the Pyle PcA2 Amp via the RCA to stereo adaptor. Last but not least, connect the Samsung rear speakers to the Pyle PCA 2 using the speaker wires. Using this setup, it will increase your Samsung rear speaker volume tremendously! What’s great is that all of these items can be purchased at Best Buy. - Answer Hi HF605! Yes, the RU8000 is compatible with the HW-Q950T. Since the RU8000 does not support eARC, for optimal audio quality utilize the HDMI passthrough feature on the soundbar. ^Tim

- Answer Hi SKK, how many watts can be a tricky question depending on how the system is used, so I’ll give you three sets of numbers. The HW-Q950T has a total maximum speaker output of 546 watts. If you are using it as most do, you will drop to the average operation consumption of 75 watts, and while in stand-by it will consume 0.9 watts. - Answer Hi JFGrunt! The soundbar, subwoofer, and each rear speaker will need to be plugged into a wall outlet which is the power source we refer to. The soundbar should be connected to the TV via HDMI for optimal sound performance. Both the subwoofer and the rear speakers will automatically connect to the soundbar when powered with a wireless connection. ^Tim

- Answer Hi Boowie - I am not sure which previous response or question you are referring to. If you are asking how to connect your TV that supports HDMI ARC to the HW-Q950T Soundbar, here are the steps: 1) With the Soundbar and TV turned on, connect the HDMI cable (not supplied). 2) “TV ARC” appears in the display window of the Soundbar main unit and the Soundbar plays TV Sound. a. If TV sound is inaudible, press the (Source) button on the remote control or on the right side of the Soundbar to switch to “D.IN” mode. The screen displays “D.IN” and “TV ARC” in sequence, and the TV sound is played. b. If “TV ARC” does not appear in the display window of the Soundbar main unit, confirm that the cable is connected to the correct port. c. Use the volume buttons on the TV’s remote control to change the volume on the Soundbar. If the TV provides an ARC port, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN (ARC) port. We recommend you use a coreless HDMI cable if possible. If you use a corded HDMI cable, use one whose diameter is less than 0.55 inches (14 mm). This function is not available if the HDMI cable does not support ARC. ^Patty
