A:Answer All new electric dryers do not come with the cord. They used to do this because there were 2 different types of 220volt outlets, and the buyer would need the right configuration for their home. I believe all new homes have only one style of 220v dryer outlet now, but I guess out of tradition they still don't include it.
You do want to get a new cord. It's not recommend to reuse the old one from an old dryer.
Expect to pay $22-29 for the cord. They're available anywhere appliances are sold and at most hardware stores.
You do not need to buy hose and y adapter. They are included.
