“Am I going to have to update the firmware on this before I can use it on PS5? I don’t have a pc, so that might be a challenge. And if I would have to, is there another SSD that might be recommended for someone who can’t update firmware separate from PS5?”

As soon as you install it in the ps5 system and cut it on, it automatically updates the firmware for you so make sure you are connected to the internet. It is definitely worth the money. Especially if you get the two TB version.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just recently bought this for my ps5 back in March and it was a simple plug and play for me. Took 5 minutes to install into my PlayStation then it did a quick format and has worked ever since without any extra work. Pretty easy.
