• The speakers are so bad as to be borderline painful, which is too bad because otherwise it's a decent monitor. I returned mine because of the sound quality.

• Yes, the sound quality is a bit tinny. But it is sufficient for a zoom meeting. Then, the sound connection can be unplugged from the USB port, and your regular speakers will resume sounds for everything else you want sound for.
