Sounds like you may be using too much detergent. Try using less or a different brand. I've had no trouble with residue and I use different detergent for each type of load.

It's likely the residue is the result of soap suds that may not have been able to rinse clean during the regular rinse, or even the additional Rinse/Spin cycle depending on how long the residue has been accumulating on the tub. Please be sure to use only the minimal recommended amount of HE detergent, and run the Self Clean cycle to clean the tub as recommended in the manual. Selecting AquaJet Deep Clean will help to maximize the amount of water used in a particular cycle, and running the Calibrate mode will help to ensure the Washer is filling with the appropriate amount of water based on the weight of the load. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had an issue with white residue and I've had this washer/dryer set for about 6 months now. Maybe it's possible you are using a little to much detergent? Also I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but I do use the High Efficiency (HE) detergent.
