When correctly paired, the SWA-9250S provides separate rear surround audio—not just duplicating the main soundbar audio. You will hear dedicated surround effects (like footsteps behind you or ambient crowd noise) from these rear speakers, delivering a much more immersive experience than the soundbar alone. This setup is considered real surround sound, as opposed to the virtual surround sound you get from just the soundbar with DTS Virtual:X.
